The F3031S / F4031S is a rugged handheld radio designed for tough, demanding work environments. It is IP67 dust and water proof and meets MIL:-STD-810-C,D,E, and F standards for durability. It's also submersible in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes! PC Programmable with 128 channels and 8 zones, the IC-F3031S / IC-F4031S provides powerfully flexible radio communications when and where you need them.

The F3031/ F4031 delivers 500mW audio output for clear sound with low distortion. The 8-character LCD display is backlit for easier readability in the dark. The four front side function keys are programmable, as is the Emergency button on top and three buttons on the side. An optional DTMF keypad is also available. Flexibility isn't an option with this radio, it's a rule.

As for features, the IC F3031S / IC F4031S is full of them. 8 DTMF autodial memories, channel scan, priority scan, auto TX and a surveillance function are all standard for this radio. It also has a talk-around function, timeout timer, stun/kill/revive, low battery alert and 2-step power save. The IC-F3031S / IC-F4021S also features a Lone Worker feature, which can send an automatic emergency signal if the emergency button is not pushed after a preset time.

With built-in 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS and DCS signaling you can have engage group communications or selective calling. The F3031 / F4031 is upgradable, so you can add an optional board for additional features such as voice scrambler, DTMF decoder or man down.

The power options are flexible as well. The Icom IC-F3031S / IC-F4031S uses Li-Ion or alkaline batteries (with an optional AA or AAA adapter tray), and comes ready to RX and TX with a large capacity 2300mAh Li-Ion battery pack for up to approximately 17.5 hours of operation. The F3031 / F4031 also comes with a belt clip and removable antenna, Ann optional Rapid Charger is also available to minimize down time.
