IP67 Waterproof & Dust Proof
The Vertex Standard EVX-S24 is waterproof and can be submersed up to 1m for a period of up to 3 minutes. That means this radio is ideal for use in swimming pool complexes and other humid environments. The Vertex Standard EVX-S24 is also ingress / dust proof.
Analogue or Digital
You can choose the Vertex Standard EVX-S24 to operate in analogue-only mode or in DMR digital mode, and you can mix and match between analogue and digital (on different channels).
Direct Mode
The EVX-S24 has "direct mode" which means that you can utilize TDMA to create two voice channels using just one 12.5KHz frequency. This can be done with or without a repeater. This enables transmit interrupt or two simultaneous radio conversations (with some clever programming).
Enhanced Audio Quality
When operating the radio in digital mode, the EVX-S24 offers the AMBE+2™ vocoder for enhanced voice quality. This means much clearer audio and better overall radio use experience.
Site Search
Move between multiple sites seamlessly by using the Site Search functionality on your EVX-S24 radio. Manually or automatically initiate Site Search to identify the signal of the closest site with the strongest signal strength. The EVX-S24 portable will dynamically change its pre-programmed home site to the site with the strongest signal in range. Great for operations with multiple locations or buildings with multiple floors.
