Icom’s innovative IP advanced radio system is an efficient and secure technology working on existing or new IP/WLAN network with no need for license or antenna system.

The WLAN based system offers a scalable license-free communication system using existing wireless networking products infrastructure. The IP advanced radio system is thus particularly interesting for hotels and resorts, department stores, restaurants, factories, hospitals, tunnels, parking and underground buildings, museums, private communications onboard vessels.

Another option is Icom’s LTE radio which offers instantaneous communication over a pre-established cellular network. It does not require its own repeater or IP network and thereby reduces the cost of building and maintaining a wide area radio network.

LTE Radio Solutions

Communicate far and wide with LTE-CONNECT, Icom’s LTE radio solution. Using 4G and 3G networks, both the IP501H handheld and IP501M mobile allows for instantaneous push-to-talk communications throughout North America. The IP501’s are LTE radios, which provides telephone style conversations, packed with conventional two-way radio features. Multiple users can communicate at the same time with features like Individual, Group and All calls. These license-free radios do not require their own repeater or IP network. LTE-CONNECT operates on an Icom controlled, private and secure network. Satellite Radios

Icom’s SATELLITE PTT (Push-To-Talk) is a two-way radio system using the Iridium® satellite network. This network allows you to use the IC-SAT100/M in remote, isolated areas without mobile phones or landline network infrastructure or if terrestrial network infrastructure is rendered unusable by human or natural disasters.

Icom’s IP Advanced Radio System

Icom’s IP radio, allows users to quickly establish a high quality network in a building by programming and connecting an IP1000C to an existing WLAN network. You can upload groups and individuals to the network and control the entire system through a computer. The IP100FS software on the computer also has a map feature, which makes it easy to locate all users.

An IP radio system is ideal for users who want to create a radio network using their own wireless network. Many hotels and offices have already invested in a wireless network, making this system a smooth and cost-effective solution. Communication Links

LTE Transceiver Gateway

Install an LTE-CONNECT SIM card to the built-in LTE module and the VE-PG4 can interconnect the IP501H with conventional radio systems and IP100H terminals. Receive and transfer GPS position information from the IP501H to a PC.

Bridge Connection Between Radio Systems

The VE-PG4 interconnects with two or more radio systems, even when the systems use different bands. All received audio is bridged to opposing radio system, so a radio user can talk to all connected radio users. The built-in digital voice converter converts analog audio to IDAS™ compatible digital audio.

IP Phone Interconnect

The built-in Simplified SIP server can assign extension numbers to IDAS™ radio terminals, IP advanced radio terminals, and groups of analog radio users as well as IP phones. A radio user can initiate phone calls. Phone users can make individual or group calls to connected radio users.

Multi-Site Connection Between VE-PG4s

Connect two or more VE-PG4s through LAN or LTE (4G) and 3G networks. The communication area can be flexibly expanded, and dispersed radio sites can be connected, regardless of distance or radio system used.

External Equipment Connection

Public address system, siren, warning light and other external devices can be connected to the VE-PG4. When detecting an emergency signal, users can start emergency notification from either a digital transceiver, IP transceiver or public address system.
