Rugged Radios for Rugged Terrain
The gasket sealed waterproof housing provides superior IP67 waterproof protection (1m dept for 30 minutes). Reliable and dependable use in harsh conditions such as rain, snow, sudden change in temperature, makes the F50/F60 the radio for all situations. All controls are large and easy to use to provide the simplest of user interfaces at all times on land or sea. Even when wearing gloves, the large buttons are easy to operate.
A South American resort implements an Icom repeater and radios for their HeliSkiing operation. Radios featured include the F4001, F50, and the F5021.
Vibration Function
When a pre-programmed 2-tone/5-tone code or call from a specific user (MDC mode only) is received, the radio vibrates powerfully enough to be felt through heavy clothing. Available on specific versions only.
Voice Recorder
When a pre-programmed 2-tone/5-tone code or a SelCall (MDC mode only) is received, the voice recorder automatically starts recording the incoming message. You will not miss an important call even when you are temporarily away from the radio. You can manually start recording incoming calls and also your own message. It records up to a maximum of 8 minutes (Or up to 48 calls of 10 sec. recording time). Available on specific versions only.
